My Sunday Photo

Well, what a week.

An emotional one, on so many levels. I have decided to leave the teaching profession after 15 years. It was an extremely tough decision but one that is right for me and my family.

My Sunday Photo, had to be this one of my leaving do from work, with so many colleagues that I will miss dearly.

I was so touched by the number of people, old and new who came to celebrate. Those who didn’t want to eat, drank at the bar and those who didn’t want to drink, ate… lots!

We had such a fun evening and I really hope it’s not ‘goodbye’.

Even Stevie G made an appearance!

We have just bought an Annual Pass for one of our favourite family days out, Farmer Palmers. It’s such a perfect place to go to spend a whole day or just a couple of hours, they also have a great soft play area if it’s raining! Harley loves the Go Karts and riding the tractors.

I am not an animal person but I am trying to get Harley to enjoy being around animals. We like to go into the barn so that he can hold a guinea pig and he fed the goats by holding out a bottle of milk.

When we visited during the week, we saw the most adorable sight.

8 baby piglets having a feed.

photot 1 bike

Yesterday we went for a bike ride over the Heath. We follow the red brick road to discover such beautiful surroundings. It’s such a treat having this environment on our doorstep, hidden by trees. We weren’t prepared for the rainshower but the rainbow that followed and the bright blue sky, were quite something.

Riding his bike, is Harley’s most favourite thing in the world. His face beams the whole time. He’s so confident yet his confidence doesn’t frighten me anymore. I embrace it. Through the puddles, flying down hills, over bumps and jumps with his black jacket splattered up the back with mud. Always the sign of a good bike ride.

Lola now has a new bike so she can enjoy the outdoors too. I hope she enjoys it as much as her brother does.
