I know I say it all the time. But I love where I live. It would only be the promise of sunshine every day, that could ever make me move.
Having grown up by the beach since I was born, I love it that my children can enjoy that blessing also.
It really is wonderful to just pop down for a walk; a paddle; to build a sandcastle or even for a BBQ.
I never take it for granted.
And to top it off, our beaches are stunning. Miles and miles of golden, fluffy sand. (Ok, so sand isn’t fluffy, but it’s so soft!)
This week, we took advantage of the early evening sunshine and headed to our favourite spot for a fish and chip dinner.
A Chip and Cod Goujon cone for everyone.
We only stayed a little while as it was nearly bedtime. But there was enough time for some beach football and a paddle and just to enjoy that gorgeous view.
I just love this photo of Lola’s little toe prints in the sand as she was running away from the waves:
With sand in their shoes and sand in their hair, they all raced upstairs for a shower when we got back. They all fell asleep without a peep. All of that lovely fresh, sea air works wonders!
